She won the fight through a technical knockout, which occurred within three minutes after the start of the round. This was the first female to fight to win a title in any major promotion worldwide. Namajunas was victorious in several bouts after this fight and was named Performance Of The Night by UFC in her fights against Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
